Take each piece of eel and tumble it into flour. Place a pan on your cooktop at medium heat and sear the chunks until they turn a golden brown. This should take about seven minutes. Pour the half of cup of wine and let everything cook until half of the wine evaporates.

When you prepare eel, you should cut it into 3-inch pieces long and clean them thoroughly. Before grilling, make sure that the eel pieces are completely dry. Here is how you are going to use the garlic. Crush the cloves with a knife, then peel them and cut them in half. This simple procedure will take out the flavor. Rub the eel pieces with the garlic, to add taste.

Use grilling skewers to make some grilled eel. As you put the pieces of eel on the skewers, add half a bay leaf, alternatively. Use salt, pepper, olive oil and vinegar to season the neatly arranged skewers. This marinade should act for about one hour.

Eel nuggets

Getting kids to eat enough fish for their healthy development can be quite a challenge, which is why you may find this recipe the right way to introduce some healthier snacks in their diet. To make eel nuggets, you will need 8 ounces of smoked eel, 8 ounces of potatoes, two egg yolks, two tablespoons of fresh chives, one tablespoon of mustard and one tablespoon of shallots. You will also need a bit of salt and pepper for seasoning,

The crust is a separate matter, which is why we will tell you the ingredients you need right away. A cup of flour, which also needs to be seasoned with salt and pepper, will make the base. You will also need two eggs, one cup of milk, and two cups of cornflakes.

Make sure the cornflakes are crushed so they can be used for coating. Use canola oil to fry the nuggets. You can use different accompaniments for this dish, such as honey mustard, tartar sauce, or Piri Piri honey.

To prepare the filling for the nuggets, you will have to preheat the oven to 400F. Warm the eel in the oven for a few minutes, then take it out and shred it. For the crust, create a small setup. Pour some flour on one plate, use a small bowl for mixing the eggs and the milk, and use another plate for the crushed cornflakes. Tumble the nuggets through each of these, and then fry them in a deep-frying pan.

An exciting part of this recipe is that it can be served with different sauces. If you prefer honey mustard, here is the combination you will have to use. You will need 1/4 of a cup with Dijon mustard, the same quantity of honey, and some chopped dill. You can also add mustard seeds for extra flavor.

The tartar sauce needs half a cup of mayonnaise, and one tablespoon of the following: capers, tarragon, gherkins, and shallot. The mix also needs a bit of sugar, very little Tabasco, and one tablespoon of pickle brine. The Piri Piri honey just calls for some honey and crushed Piri Piri.
